It’s recently occurred to me that I don’t really write much about my relationship with my husband. There’s no reason for the fact that I don’t, I’ve just never felt the need to.

I think the anniversary of 9/11 has made me realise just how lucky I am to be able to be with the man that I love. Thousands of people lost that special someone and I can’t even begin to comprehend how they must feel. Just the thought of losing Tom breaks my heart, I don’t know how I’d cope.

God, he annoys me sometimes, and he knows it. But I know that I do the same to him. That’s what relationships are about.

I’ve been married for about two and a half months now, and I think I’m finally getting used to it. There are some days when being married is the hardest thing you can imagine, but there are days when everything just feels so right and you know why you did it, and those are the days that you forget about the hard ones.

I love my husband because he makes me laugh.

I love him because he is kind and considerate.

I love the way he loves me.

I love the way that I always get a hug, kiss and an I love you before he leaves for work every morning.

I love the way he always comes and gives me a hello kiss when he gets home.

I love the way we have a lie in together at the weekends and just snuggle.

I love the way we spoon every night.

I love the way that he makes sure I take my inhaler every morning when he brings me my cup of coffee.

The fact that he’s got a memory like a sieve irritates the hell out of me, but it makes him who he is.

I can’t imagine my life without him. I’m a very lucky woman.
